Welcome To King Edward VI Academy

"Educate and inspire today to achieve the dreams of tomorrow."

King Edward VI, in Spilsby, Lincolnshire, opened as an academy in the autumn of 2012. We were formerly a Humanities College.

"The choice of school for your child is a very important one and requires deep consideration. We offer every child the opportunity to fulfil their academic, creative and sporting potential. We pride ourselves on our level of care for the individual and wish to see each and every child achieve success in their own particular area of expertise."  -  Principal

We are a bilateral academy – that is, a secondary school with a grammar stream in each year of entry – that, as with other schools in the David Ross Education Trust’s network, has a House system.

Earlier this year our academy was named the most improved secondary school in Lincolnshire and the 17th most improved in the country.

This summer our students celebrated the best maths and English results in the academy’s history, with over 70% of students achieving an A*-C grade in each subject and 66% of all students achieving an A*-C grade in both subjects.

These results represent how our academy is striving to continue its development, with the aim of becoming the best secondary school in our area.

Our doors are always open for tours and we would welcome anyone who is interested in visiting us to find out what Kind Edward’s can offer your child.
