Science

All science schemes of work highlight extension opportunities for our gifted and talented students. This allows the department to challenge our more able on a day to day basis in the classroom.
All lessons are planned with differentiated learning objectives in order to stretch the more able.
More able students complete higher level APP tasks and are entered for higher tier examinations.
At KS4 class sizes have been reduced so support can be more specifically targeted to allow effective differentiation.
Opportunities are provided for students to develop their higher level thinking skills so they can access the top levels/grades.
