Sixth Form Study

Our aim is to offer the very best education possible to our young people in order to prepare them for the next step in their lives, whether that is studying at university, further training or the world of work.

A brand new purpose built Sixth Form centre, sponsored by the David Ross Foundation, opened at King Edward VI Academy in September 2014, offering a range of courses for Year 12 and 13 students. Facilities include two learning pods, a careers guidance area and a student social area.

We have created an expanded Sixth Form offer to meet our student's need, this includes level 3 courses in Maths, English, Science, History, Design, Art, Performing Arts, Music, Business, Finance and Sports Studies, as well as a range of enrichment and developmental activities.

Classes are small, rarely above ten students and Sixth Formers have their own study room and social area as well as shared access to all dining and study facilities.

Our centre operates on the site of King Edward VI Academy in Spilsby and Havelock Academy in Grimsby. Whilst each academy has its own range of courses, teaching bases and individual uniform; there is a strong partnership between our two learning centres.

Please see the attached document on the left hand side for a full breakdown of our latest Key Stage 5 results.

For further information about our Sixth Form, please download our prospectus from the left hand side of this page. We would also like to invite you to visit the academy to view our facilities and to talk to course tutors about your plans for the future.
